Austin Amazing
Austin is known as the Live Music Capital of the World® but that’s just the beginning. Home to unique attractions, world-class museums, and beautiful outdoor spaces, Texas’ capital city has a soundtrack all its own. Click the “Visit Austin” button below for more information on some of the top tourist attractions in Austin, including the Texas State Capitol, Austin Nature & Science Center, the Cathedral of Junk, the Blanton Museum of Art, the Texas Military Forces Museum and the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum.
The favorite, the Museum of Ice Cream offers you a chance to learn about the history of this beloved sweet treat by interacting with 12 multi-sensory installations. Or give indoor sky diving a try. A sight to behold is the Austin Bats that fly out from under the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge at night. It’s is the largest urban bat colony in North America. You could always enjoy a bat watching tour on a guided boat cruise on Lady Bird Lake with Lone Star Riverboat. For more ideas, visit AustinTexas.org
